Early Alzheimer’s tests: detection and response

Publicado el: 04/08/2024

Thanks to medical innovations, many diseases can be detected long before their first symptoms appear. In this way, through different treatments, it is possible to slow down the symptoms of the disease and even make them appear weaker and cause less damage.

Alzheimer’s, one of the diseases with the highest incidence in the world, is a disease that affects the nerve cells of the brain, progressively decreasing the patient’s brain mass. Its most common symptoms are memory loss, disorientation and deterioration of physical and mental abilities.

Early Alzheimer’s tests can help

The so-called early Alzheimer’s tests allow any type of sign of cognitive problems to be detected in a person quickly and effectively. That is, it allows us to know if a patient may suffer from this disease in the future and, in this way, begin a personalized treatment with the aim of delaying or slowing down the symptoms of Alzheimer’s and preventing them from manifesting with greater virulence.

Although, at present, there is no cure capable of dealing with this terrible disease, early Alzheimer’s tests do allow the disease to manifest itself to a lesser extent, thanks to a treatment after the detection of possible cognitive damage based on controlling or delaying the characteristic symptoms of the disease.

At LabGenetics, a laboratory specialized in all types of genetic tests, we carry out the different early Alzheimer’s tests to detect, with total efficiency, any type of signal that shows some cognitive damage in the patient that, in the long term, could lead to this disease.
